What's new:

2011 Crop... A little bit of a slow start but eveything seems fine now (as of mid August). Everyone has a relatively light Pinot Noir crop this year so it will probably be in a bit early. Again, the Bravo Toro grapes will go to Ben and Mike at the Evolve Winery.

Vintage 2010... The quiet one. No problems at all, currently spending lazy days in barrel. 5 barrels of Pinot Noir (~125 cases) and 2 of Chardonnay (~50 cases).

Vintage 2009... The problem child. Everything is bottled and we are very happy with the Pinot Noir (110 cases). Seemingly, all the trouble was worth it. The Chardonnay was disappointing. At only one barrel, it was perhaps the neglected child next to the problem child and is somewhat oxidized. It is drinkable and interesting but not brag-worthy.

More Pinot Noir, please... We added 8 more rows of Pinot Noir into the class of "produciton rows" and will probably do about the same or better next year - leaving just a few straglers of the weakest clone (777) in the weakest area of the vineyard. We'll have another year of significant skip planting again next year but there you go ... farming ....its a war of attrition.

The ski place... A few more finishing touches but it has been basically stable for 2 years now Check it out and give us a call or drop us an Email if you are interested in using it (winter and/or summer). Friendly rates for friends of the winery.
